Cycle Ride from Holywell
A ride in the quiet countryside near Holywell, climbing later to the open moorland of the lower slopes of Halkyn mountain with glimpses of the Dee estuary, and returning by the peaceful friary and church at Pantasaph.

The Ride
Turn Right out of car park
Turn Right on to the main road signposted Conwy A55
Turn 2nd Right signposted Whitford 1¼ miles
Turn Left at crossroads in Whitford signposted Lloc 1¼ with Huntsman pub on your left
Turn Left at T junction
Follow this road and Caerwys signposts for 3 miles to Caerwys going straight across the main roads (take care)
Go straight ahead through Caerwys - the road bends left on leaving the town
Turn hairpin Left on reaching main road into lane at Afonwen signposted Babell
Keep straight ahead at Black Lion pub at Babell
Straight ahead at crossroads signposted Pentre Halkyn 1½
Turn Left at next crossroads by red letterbox into Buxton Lane
Turn Left at T junction
Pass Crooked Horn pub and go straight ahead at Brynford crossroads
Turn Right just after the Friary and Church at Pantasaph
Turn Right at crossroads
Turn Right at main road back into Holywell
