overcoming disability through cycling: Despite various illnesses Janette Wynne shos as much as possible by bike

Overcoming Disability through Cycling: Janette Wynne loves cycling. She much prefers it to her free bus pass!

Despite having angina, arthritis, and osteoporosis, she does as much shopping as possible by bike. Her ambition - to see her local authority playing fair by cyclists.

Visiting Llandudno for Easter 2008, Richard and Anne-Marie from the south of England are amazed there are so many shops in the town selling electric mobility scooters, when they had so much difficulty finding a bike shop for a minor repair. They succeeded in the end - HALFORDS - bang in the middle of the town traffic gyratory system, where few cyclists dare to pedal. Just as many don't dare cycle on the hallowed promenade also. But that didn't put off our intrepid travellers joining the ubiquitous scooters wheeling happily along the prom. (270308)
