Property advertisement showing a view of Scarborough with a cyclist in the foreground

Notice how in advertising the subliminal use of the bicycle sells goods. Here it promotes Scarborough as a place to buy second homes. Pity about the noise and pollution from the cars though.

OVERCOMING DISABILITY - CYCLING & MOBILITY SCOOTERS: Margaret & Gordon Foden of Prestatyn still enjoy trips out together along the North Wales coastline. Margaret would prefer to cycle, but recently found arthritis prevents her riding again.

Touring couple push their bikes up the steep hill on the cycleway near Llanddulas past a large group of lady cyclists

Route 5 National Cycle Network - Prestatyn ladies stand aside on Llanddulas Hill's one in four gradient to make way for Judy & Alan Steventon of Woodbridge, Suffolk.

Judy & Alan are 4,600 miles into their circuit of the UK coastline by tandem. From their home they have covered the entire eastern seaboard including the Shetlands and Hebrides. They have just entered North Wales from the Isle of Man via the Wirral Way, and aim to keep as close to the coast as possible. With c7000 miles of coastline in all to cover, they are riding it in sections. They will be taking a break at Bristol towards the end of July 06, resuming their journey next year. We wish them well

Prestatyn Ramblers take a cycle ride on the West Shore cycle path

Prestatyn Ramblers savour the delights of the West Shore cycle path. Like a growing number of rambling clubs they include occasional cycle rides in their programme.

Cyclists sit on a bench sketching

After working all week as a Llandudno librarian, what better way of spending a quiet Sunday morning than cycling along the new Conwy Estuary cycleway - and relaxing by landscape sketching?
