Deganwy's Lone Rider
Local residents have come to the defence of a cyclist who repeatedly rides up and down the busy A546 between Llandudno and Llandudno Junction - a distance of about three miles.
A woman correspondent recently complained to the North Wales Weekly News that every time she looked out of her front window this gentleman was riding past.
In fact if anyone uses this road any time during the day, they're likely to see this happy - go- lucky chap pootling along at a fair speed. He enjoys cycling throughout the year. Doesn't go far. Just up and down the same stretch of road.
(It is perhaps the nature of the blind prejudice against Richard Brunstrom, Chief Constable of North Wales, whose police force has gained a high profile in its efforts to reduce road casualties, that such comments as made by the last correspondent are still popular in some quarters. - Editor)
