The Rides.
A). 75 miles.
As indicated above, this ride is only open to riders
who have reached at least 16 yrs of age by 1st July 2009. This is a very
strenuous ride incorporating several long and severe climbs and descents, as
well as a host of other little gems to test les grimpeurs, so you will need to
be a fit and strong rider. It takes in Overton, Weston Rhynn,
Selattyn, Glyn Ceiriog, Llangollen, The Panorama and the Old Horseshoe Pass,
before returning via Llandegla, Gresford, Holt, Tattenhall and the Peckforton
Hills.
B). 50miles.
This ride takes in the hills to the East of Frodsham, Delamere Forest and the
Peckforton Hills. There are about 2 miles of forest tracks included, but all of
them are firm and easy to ride on.
C). 25 miles.
This ride is designed for Family groups and occasional cyclists, and has a
number of options open to you. The longest circuit goes to Wrenbury and Marbury
via the lovely rolling countryside just to the north of Whitchurch and is 24
miles long. The shortest circuit avoids the hills near Whitchurch and is about
16 miles avoiding all hills of any consequence. There are variations on these
routes which fall somewhere between them in length and difficulty enabling you
to choose the distance and terrain that suits you.
