Rhyl Foryd Cycle Bridge -The Connect2 Dream

Hot off the presses - an artist's impression of the superb proposed cycling /walking bridge across the mouth of the River Clwyd, Denbighshire. This would obviate the need for cyclists and walkers using the NCN 5 coastal path to divert on to the heavily trafficked girder road bridge at Rhyl.

This is just one of the UK projects being put forward by the sustainable transport charity, Sustrans, in its bid for a 50 million lottery award. You will shortly have your chance to vote for Sustrans in a national poll. Online voting begins on 26th November with phone voting taking place during the weekend of 6-7th December. The result will be declared on 12th December.

Sustrans is up against tough completion. Every single vote counts - For further information click here.
