CONWY MORFA - PLUGGING A NASTY GAP IN NATIONAL CYCLE ROUTE 5
With a provisional target date for completion around mid August 2012, we are beginning to see exciting progress on the Conwy Morfa coastal path between Conwy Marina and the Penmaenbach headland.
Details of this project can be seen on this Sustrans webpage .
We’d like to thank contractor Jones Bros of Ruthin for the dramatic photo below of the first stage of installing the cycle/pedestrian bridge over the rail line. This work could only be undertaken overnight at a weekend to avoid interrupting train services.
We also include shots of at least two of the many cyclists expected to take advantage of this major improvement in this important stretch of the 13,000 mile National Cycle Network.
